What a wild and crazy Week 4. The Lions stay undefeated by coming back from 24 down against the Cowboys and Steven finally restores the Lions “roar.” Packers have a Good Ole Boy who is already suspended by the league. Now doubling down on his suspension is the big man, Johnny Jolly. Possession of compound containing codeine and trying to conceal it will remove any remaining hope that he could once again play in the NFL.

Jeff plays deaf when talking about some tattoos he has promised to get on his buttock. You see what had happened was… Steven says, yeah right, go get the INK dude!

In reviewing the 15 Sunday Games, the guys have some fun with some of the games they missed, including the Bills losing a big lead to the Bengals, Michael Vick having a huge day but the Eagles give up a huge lead and lose to the 49ers, Aaron Rodgers has an even bigger day as the Packers thump the Broncos and the Giants comeback on the Cardinals with a Victor Cruz phantom giving himself up.

The guys run out of the studio to catch Monday Night Football.

As the regular season approaches the 1/4 pole, the guys get a little crazy with the Week 4 preview. Jeff takes some time to reminisce about longer NFL Rants & Raves shows, but then buckles down to talk about the 16 games in Week 4. In the news, the guys talk about QB Michael Vick getting back under center with some swelling still in his right hand, plus the guys discuss WR Kenny Britt out for the season with.

Once again, the guys agree on 12 games in Week 4. Steven is shocked to find out that Jeff is taking the Cowboys over the Lions and the Browns over the Titans, two games Steven was certain they would disagree on. In the four games they differ on, Steven has the four road teams while Jeff says he is happy with his home picks of the Rams, Cardinals, Texans and Bucs.

Finally, with Steven being the smartest man alive, Jeff gets to pick the challenge game, and he quickly makes the Colts/Bucs game the Week 4 challenge. Steven feels the Colts will finally get their first win on Monday Night Football.

The guys bring you a recap of the 15 games on Sunday from Week 3. Craziness happening all across the NFL. The Lions and Bills comeback and break some dubious streaks along the way. The Raiders run all over the Jets, while the Youngry Buccaneers finally beat the Falcons.

In NFL News, the guys discuss some of the injuries from Week 3 including the Eagles Michael Vick‘s bruised hand. Steven calls Vick a little whiney baby girl, while Jeff comes to his defense. Jeff has a one game lead on Steven this week so Steven tries to bait him into changing his pick for Monday Night Football.

In the Challenge Game, Steven eeks out a one point win as Colt McCoy and the Browns beat the Dolphins even with out running back Peyton Hillis.

Week 3 is here and so are the guys — back with one hour of fast packed, hard hitting, NFL analysis. All 16 games are broken down and the guys find themselves agreeing on only 11 games. Big swings in the picks standings are at stake here in these early season picks. Some fantastic games this weekend like the 2-0 Bills hosting the 2-0 Patriots for supremacy of the AFC East. Who needs the J.E.T.S. when you have the B.I.L.L.S? Houston at New Orleans is another tasty treat of the early games not to be missed.

In the afternoon match-ups two games jump out at the guys: Green Bay heads to the windy city, which has not been kind to them lately, as they square off against divisional rivals, the Bears. Steven likes the Bears while Jeff is sticking with the Packers, but Steven warns him that the Bears make Aaron Rodgers look normal. Atlanta visiting Tampa Bay is another highly anticipated matchup — so much so that Steven gets Jeff to change his pick here. Some special attention is given to the demise of the Kansas City Chiefs. Steven and Jeff dissect things all the way down to the QB coach and find culpability all over the place. There is mess all-over everyone’s hands.

Though the challenge game was not stated on the show, Steven has chosen to continue believing in his Cleveland Browns to win at home over the hapless Miami Dolphins. Jeff just thinks the Dolphins are better.

Steven and Jeff return from the bay area after covering the Cowboys/49ers game for Sky Sports News Radio. They share some stories from the road and witness the Cowboys win in overtime even though they were decimated by injuries and as it turns out, Tony Romo playing with two broken ribs and a punctured lung. The guys say the Chiefs are done after losing yet another star, RB Jamaal Charles, to injury and Steven is pumped up for the Detroit “ROAR” Lions!

The guys cover the 15 games played on Sunday and Jeff likes that his most interesting game of the week, Raiders at Bills, turned out to be an exciting high scoring affair. Steven finally gives Cam Newton some love, but says NO to “The Icon” buttock tattoo. Jeff likes that his “Youngry” team got the win and praises LeGarrette Blount and Josh Freeman and then says the Seahawks might be worst team in the NFL.

Jeff takes an early 2-0 lead in the Challenge game as the Falcons beat the Eagles to make Jeff “the Smartest Man Alive” even though the Eagles saw QB Michael Vick go down with a concussion. Steven just wonders why Jeff always wins the Challenge Game with the starting QB on Steven’s team goes down. Jeff says, “Deal With It!”

The guys can’t believe that Week 2 is already here. The guys discuss some NFL news as the Rams have said that RB Steven Jackson will not be available for Week 2. Steven and Jeff and the rest of the NFL Rants & Raves staff send their well wishes and prayers to Bears LB Brian Urlacher who’s mother has passed away.

Steven says he would like to wash the ugliness that was picking games in Week 1. Jeff is the Smartest Man Alive as the Jets beat the Cowboys to give Jeff an early 1 game lead in the Challenge Game. Jeff went 9-7 and Steven started 7-9 and both guys look forward to picking games in Week 2.

Steven and Jeff agree on 14 games this week. Jeff was taking the Vikings until Steven talked him into taking the team Jeff is supporting this year, the Buccaneers. Steven says that for having so much talent like Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin, the Vikings are not very exciting on offense. In the Challenge game, Jeff is taking the home dog Atlanta Falcons while Steven is sticking with the Eagles.

The guys talk about the new contracts two play makers got just moments prior to taking the field in Week 1. Adrian Peterson becomes the newest member of the $100 million club while Troy Polamalu gets an extension which should have him with the Black and Gold through the remainder of his career. The guys talk about the injury bug that hit many teams around the league in Week 1, with the Rams getting hit hard as Steven Jackson, Sam Bradford and Danny Amendola go down with injuries. Three players are out for the year, including the Panthers Jon Beason, the Chiefs Eric Berry and the Chargers lose their kicker Nate Kaeding.

The guys discuss the record setting performance by Panthers new quarterback, Cam Newton, the #1 overall draft pick. Cam sure is looking like an icon — after one game. His 422 yards are the most ever by an NFL rookie in an opening game. Can this continue? The guys discuss.

Finally, the guys talk about the first 14 games of week one and discuss the surprising Bills, Bears and Ravens big wins. Steven says the Texans need to make sure that they finish games with a killer instinct while Jeff says that is just not Houston’s style.

Back to Football! Steven and Jeff are back with their weekly previews of each week during the football season. The guys talk about the latest in NFL news, as the Colts declare Peyton Manning out for Week 1 and the Jaguars cut QB David Garrard just days before the regular season kicks off. Houston is on notice to win the division or else.

The guys like the Texans to take care of the Manning-less Colts and Jeff tells Steven that although he is taking the Browns to beat the Bengals, he needs to see the Browns beat a tougher opponent this season before he says they are for real. The guys disagree on a surprising five games to start out the season, including the Season opener on Thursday Night when the Saints visit the Packers. Steven likes the Saints to win by running with Mark Ingram and Jeff likes to Packers to start off hot behind Aaron Rodgers.

Since he lost last year, Jeff gets to start by picking the Challenge Game. This week he takes the “Battle of the Ryans” and says Rex Ryan and the Jets will use the emotional memorial of the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 to beat the Cowboys. Steven feels that it is that emotion piled on top of the pressure of winning that game, that will hurt the Jets in another early season emotional game.

It’s finally here, the 2011 NFL Prediction Show. Steven and Jeff share their thoughts before the season starts, going over all eight divisions in the NFL. First, the guys discuss the situation with the Jacksonville Jaguars as they release QB David Garrard just days before the start of the season. Steven calls it bush-league as the Jaguars did this to Byron Leftwich back in 2007.

During the predictions, Steven guarantees that the Houston Texans will make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, otherwise head coach Gary Kubiak should be out of a job. Jeff likes one team in the AFC West a little too much for Steven’s liking. Steven also has the Browns making it to the playoffs and leaves the Colts out of the playoffs for the first time in 7 seasons.

In the NFC, Jeff’s love for the Buccaneers makes Steven wonder about his Bucs prognostication, and gives Jeff some heat for leaving the Philadelphia “Dream Team” out of the mix. Jeff is surprised that Steven has the Jets at top the AFC and the Saints atop the NFC.

In Part 4 of 4, Steven and Jeff tackle on the NFC South and NFC West. In NFL News, the guys congratulate RB Chris Johnson on his new contract, but make RB Cedric Benson a “Good Ole Boy” for going to jail for 20 days.

In the South, both Steven and Jeff agree that the Panthers need to get ready for a long year, even with Cam Newton at QB. Jeff really thinks highly of the other 3 teams having the other three NFC South teams making the playoffs. Steven feels his evaluation of the Buccaneers may be a little high, saying he likes Josh Freeman and the “Youngry” Bucs, but he sees them missing the playoffs.

Looking at the NFC Worst, or West, Steven likes the Cardinals to jump up and claim the top spot in the division with 9 wins as he sees Kevin Kolb to Larry Fitzgerald becoming a huge success in the desert. Jeff on the other hand, thinks the Rams will win the division this year with a losing record of 7-9. Ouch.
