Playoffs! Playoffs are finally here and yes the guys even talk about the 7-9 Seahawks. First, the guys answer some listener questions posted on www.NFLRandR.com. Then Steven and Jeff look at NFL News, where they discuss several teams fawning over Standford head coach Jim Harbaugh. The guys also talk about the Raiders firing of Tom Cable as they do not understand what Al Davis is doing, they talk about the Titans parting ways with Vince Young and Wade Phillips landing in Houston to become the Texans defensive coordinator.
The guys then take a look at the four Wild Card games for this weekend and you might be surprised at who they guys pick to win the games. Jeff forces Steven to evaluate how the Jets might beat Peyton Manning and the Colts and Steven has some interesting thoughts on that game. The guys both agree that the Saints may have some problems later on with both Chris Ivory and Pierre Thomas on IR, but those problems will not hinder them this week.
Finally, Jeff is forced against his better judgement to pick the Eagles over the Packers to differ in at least one game over Steven and makes that the Challenge Game by default. Will his old team, the Packers haunt him in the Wild Card Game this week.
In the blurb on this show you refer to Al Davis as “Al David”. I know MNF is over for the year, but to Steven…that get’s a “C’MON MAN!” :-)
PS I have yet to listen to the show, so if it’s an inside joke that is discussed on the show, I guess I’ll have some crow to eat.
Not sure what your talking about Ed!
Nicely done Steven…wave that magic wand ;-)
Looks like ESPN Pick ‘Em ends with the regular season, but I want to keep on picking with you guys, I finished the regular season 6 games behind Jeff and 3 games ahead of Steven.
I’m taking three road teams and the Colts this week. So thats, Packers, Saints, Ravens and Colts for me.
The Packers DID NOT go into Chicago and win. They went into Chicago and LOST.
The Packers beat the Bears in Green Bay, in a game that was 100% meaningless to the Bears playoff position, and the Bears played the most vanilla offense I have seen since the pre-season.
