After some much needed R and R, the guys are back with some R and R. Steven and Jeff are ranting and raving again as they begin their preparation for the 2010 NFL Season. After covering some NFL News, Big Ben Reothlisberger rumored to be in trouble again, the Mike Vick Fiasco and the three-year extension given to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, the guys hit a sad note as the talk about the passing of Randal Cunningham’s 2 year old son and the death of Air Coryell.
The guys then focus their attention on the AFC East and give you their opinions on the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets. Steven says he now likes Jets head coach Rex Ryan and tells you why he didn’t like Rex last year. The guys agree on most everything regarding this decision except for one team. Steven tries to say something nice about every team, even the Bills, but Jeff just makes fun of him. Plus the guys like the same team to win the division.
Plus hear some fun stories from the guys trips and a little flashback to the 8th grade.
Awesome. Getting me ready for the season. On paper the Ravens are going to take the AFC north if not more. Boldin baby!
lol, u talked in a low voice too often.
Welcome backs guys!! Hope you had fantastic holidays and a great time away from life at home.
I gotta say being a Pats fan that I am insanely proud of the 2007 Regular season. Two players smashing records with Moss and Brady. But yes, I would like to forget that we couldn’t finish the job. Absolutley heartbreaking as you can imagine. The fact we had Giants in the last game of the season and eaked out a win to make it 16-0 was great. But yes I would happily let them win that and we win the Superbowl.
Serves me right I suppose for Joining you on the “happy feet” Manning bandwagon! ;)
Quiet surprises that you both has gone for the Patriots as the division winner. Was sure that you would be going with the Jets after all the off season activity they have had.
I know you have been speaking alot about the previous years fantasy leagues, but what’s the timeschedule for this years? Due to work I am hoping for a weekend fantasy draft whatever league I end up in :)
Something else I was wondering. you have 7 more divison assessements to go. Yet the season starts in 8? can we expect double shows sooner?
Chad Henne? No?
Patriots are far better than just “Boston”. You can’t argue that the team is a top-tier contender and therefor have to have a greater area than just a city. Thats why “New England” is apropriate. The greater the team, the bigger the area has to be to name the team. Patriots are also able to draw a fan-base wider than the city, thus making it “New England”.
However there are a few certain problems. The Colts are really good too and should be named by the state. However theres a contradiction within “Indiana Colts” (nativ americans – whites). Not as intruiging as an asian clansman, but its not OK. Thats why it has to be the city and not the state/area.
Minnesota Vikings: The state inhabits as many people as the metroarea as a normal city.
Bad teams should be named after an area smaller than the city, equal to the fanbase and number of people attending the actual games. Detroit Lions should be named AllenPark Lions and the Oakland Raiders should rightfully just be named “Aid”
As a Bills fan I wasn’t expecting a positive writeup. It’s been a tough five years guys. Tough.
As it happens our last winning season was just one year earlier than you started. 2004, 9-7. Heady days.
Then there’s another big gap to ’99. But I have faith! Well get back to winning ways soon. And this year we’re splitting the games with at least two of our divisional rivals or my sons not going to be called Ralph Wilson Brown.
I think I have to disagree with you guys about this division. I think the Jets will continue their ascendance to the top of the AFC, and will win the division. (As long as L.T. is at least servicable as Shonn Greene’s backup).
I think it will be a matter of who get hot at the right time between The Jets, Ravens (If Ed Reed is not placed on the PUP list), and the Colts for the AFC this year.
