The guys reach the final divisional assessment show of the season as they break down the NFC West. First, in NFL News, the guys discuss Dez Bryant and the alleged “Dez Rules” that owner Jerry Jones says were not imposed by the team. They also talk about the Dolphins trading away veteran and former first-round draft pick Vontae Davis and Karlos Dansby ignoring head coach Joe Philbin’s mandate that players were to keep criticism of personnel moves “in house” by saying, “He’s a great player, one of the best corners in the game. I’m not sure about the direction of the team. That’s not my place.”

The guys then end by discussing the Cardinals, Rams, 49ers and Seahawks. With the Cardinals, Jeff is shocked when Steven informs him that even though head coach Ken Whisenhunt has not named a starter, neither Kevin Kolb nor John Skelton would play in the Cardinals pre-season finale. Neither guy likes the Cardinals much this season. Jeff feels more confident in the Rams that Steven does as Steven thinks the Rams defense has taken a step back and the lack of any significant pass catcher will ultimately hurt young QB Sam Bradford.

Finally, with the 49ers, Steven feels they could be great or take a step back. Both guys agree they are still the best team in the division and Steven praises and raves on Seahawks coach Pete Carroll for making a move to Russell Wilson at QB. By playing the rookie QB and cutting T.O., Steven feel Carroll has setup the Seahawks for a very good season. Maybe.

Steven and Jeff can feel the energy as the new season approaches. Today they cover the NFC South, and discuss the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The guys thank everyone that has joined the Fantasy Football leagues and encourage others to play fantasy football just for the fun of it.

First in NFL News the guys talk about Michael Vick getting hurt and saying, “I can’t keep taking hits like that!” The Saints acquire Barrett Ruud from Seahawks and Steven likes the move, Jon Gruden – says he would come back to coaching “If the right opportunity presents itself” and the Replacement Refs continue to be a story for all the wrong reasons. The guys even have to look into a crazy rumor that the league is considering having only one official on the field to spot balls and all calls would be made by a crew up in the booth reviewing monitors of the game.

Next the guys break down the Atlanta Falcons and Jeff thinks they will be better than last year but Steven feels that they might not be as good as a pass first offense and should rely more on Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers. Steven is not sure if the Falcons can duplicate their 10-6 record from last year. Steven likes the Panthers offense and feels Cam Newton will be better than last year and have the Panthers primed to win more than the six games. Both guys like the Saints although Steven says they will finish with less than thirteen wins and might fade near the end of the season.

Finally, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the guys say they really don’t know and that nobody really does. They think Josh Freeman will improve even though Jeff does not like how thin Freeman looks. Steven says that Doug Martin will help the running game but feel this team will struggle just as it did last season.

After a week long trip of visiting five camps and three preseason games, the guys return home to catch up on the NFC North. First, in NFL News, Steven and Jeff discuss Chad Johnson’s arrest and subsequent dismissal from the Dolphins. Steven has an interesting take on how quickly people react to accusations. Next, the guys talk about MJD being MIA in Jacksonville, Pete Carroll having some explaining to do regarding QB Tavaris Jackson, the league trying out a new type of football with synthetic laces in Week 2 of the preseason and all the questionable calls from the replacement refs in Week 1.

Steven talks about several plays where replacement officials either flat out got a call wrong or look bad in doing the simple things football players take for granted like spotting the football. Things are going to get bad for the NFL if replacement refs are used in the regular season. Listen as the guys talk about the two major sticking points holding the NFL and NFLRA in a stalemate over a new contract.

Finally, the guys get around to the NFC North and talk Bears, Lions, Packers, and Vikings. The guys like all the teams in this division, but feel the Packers will be hard pressed to duplicate last season’s 15-1 record. While they feel the Lions, Bears and even the Vikings can be better than last season. Steven says the Lions will be in trouble if the Madden Curse catches WR Calvin Johnson, but feels the same way about the Packers if there is a significant injury to QB Aaron Rodgers.

Steven and Jeff are half way through the divisional assessment shows, but before they get to the Cowboys, Giants, Eagles and Redskins they talk about their trips to Cowboys and Chargers camp.

In NFL News, they discuss Terrell Owens quickly shedding his HWMNBN status as he heads to Seattle to become a Seahawk, Hard Knocks starts tonight with the Miami Dolphins and the guys set the over/under of shots featuring Ryan Tannehill’s wife, Lauren, at six. The guys also take the time to send their thoughts and prayers to Andy Reid and his family at the loss of their son, Garrett.

Finally, in the NFC East, the guys agree that all four teams in this division are going to be tough this year. Steven reveals why he dreads discussing the NFC East, while Jeff showers praises on all four teams. True to his word though, Steven did not say the Redskins QBs name on air and at times, Jeff was no help.

The guys start the show by discussing some fantasy football. If you need a league, come out and join one of theirs at www.NFLRandR.com.

In NFL News, the guys talk about Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys, not happy with Dez Bryant, the Jets camp already in full blown disarray as WR Antonio Cromartie say he is the 2nd best wide receiver on the team while fellow teammate Chaz Schilens sees this as a slight. Jeff says it is a possibility while Steven says it is possible, like Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster. Finally, the guys talk about Dolphins WR Chad Johnson, and whether he is the best WR on the team.

In the AFC West, the guys feel the division is wide open but Steven feels that QB Peyton Manning will help the Broncos improve on last year. The Chargers have some questions at the receiver position and the Chiefs will try to stay healthy this year, leaving the Oakland Raiders as the dark horse in the division as many like what is coming out of Raider Nation. Still, this division will remain up for grabs late into the season.

The guys start the AFC South Assessment discussing another trio of “GOOD OLE BOYS” which include Chiefs CB Donald Washington being arrested for possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of drugs, and speeding, Titans WR Kenny Britt arrested for a DUI and the Lions releasing CB Aaron Berry for his second arrest in 1 month as he was arrested for assault which involved a firearm.

Jeff also thinks the Commissioner will come down hard on Jaguars rookie WR Justin Blackmon who plead guilty to drunk driving. Although Blackmon did this to avoid Jail time, Jeff feels the Commish will suspend the rookie for several games while Steven says since it is his first offense, a one-game suspension is in order.

The guys give mad props to Chad Ochocinco. Not because he changed his name back to Chad Johnson but because he provided some sound advise to NFL players on how they too could stay out of trouble. Simply put, AFC & NFC.

Finally, the guys get around to the AFC South and promptly go about showing how although the Houston Texans lost key components in Mario Williams and Demco Ryans, the Texans should have no problems winning this division again.

Only 50 days until the start of the NFL season and Steven and Jeff are ready to get this thing started. Before they get to the AFC North, they discuss the Franchise Tag players that were able to get long-term deals, including Saints QB Drew Brees, Bears RB Matt Forte, Ravens RB Ray Rice and Jaguars K Josh Scobee. They also briefly discuss Wes Welker not reaching a long-term deal with the Patriots along with Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe, Cowboys LB Anthony Spencer, Lions DE Cliff Avril and 49ers S Dashon Goldson.

With all the arrests happening in the month of July, the guys would be remiss if they did not mention three “Good ‘Ole Boys” and talk about the Broncos DE Elvis Dumervil arrested for aggravated assault, Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch arrested for DUI in Oakland and Cowboys WR Dez Bryant being arrested for family violence. Although Steven does not condone what Bryant is being accused of, he does share a personal story about the judicial system in the state of Texas.

Finally, the guys arrive at the AFC North to talk about the Ravens, Bengals, Browns and Steelers. Steven suggests that all four teams had solid drafts this off-season and Jeff agrees. However they disagree on the QB situation in Cleveland. Steven does not believe Colt McCoy is the problem but Jeff says he likes the move to rookie Brandon Weeden. Finally the guys wish to apologize to Steelers fans as they ran out of time and did not spend much time on Pittsburgh. Sorry “T”!

The guys get ready to head into the season as they start their division preview shows. They start in the AFC East and take a look at the off-season moves by the Bills, Dolphins, Patriots and Jets.

The guys start with some NFL News as they discuss the Adrian Peterson situation. Jeff has a theory as to what happened, but Steven feels there is more going on there that we has not been made public yet. The guys talk about RG3 not interested in Kim Kardashian and Steven thinks he is a smart guy, but Steven also takes a vow that he will not mention Robert Griffin III ever again.

The guys feel the Patriots are still the team to beat this division, but Steven thinks the Jets are going to be extremely fun to watch. Meanwhile, both Steven and Jeff have some interesting things to say about the Bills and Dolphins.

The guys are a back with an NFL News Show. However someone heard nudes show and we got unclothed models in the Rave Cave. Not sure how the guys are going to explain that one to the Mrs. at home.

In NFL News, the guys started with some fun news that involved no other than Patriots QB, Tom Brady. Steven really enjoyed his video Under Armour spoof on Funny or Die and said that Tom can have fun when he wants to have fun and that sometimes there are people who like the Empire. Jeff enjoy the video as well but with nude models roaming the Rave Cave, it took some time to get Jeff’s full attention.

In today’s show, the guys also covered Chad Ochocinco going to Miami, Michael Huff saying that Al Davis was the de-facto defensive coordinator for the Raiders, FOX analyst Terry Bradshaw saying that he would not allow his son to play football now and Tim Tebow responding to Tedy Bruschi.

Plus Steven says that he wants to get a .20 blood alcohol level so that he can see what these players are feeling when they get pulled over for DUis, ala Giants David Diel and Jaguars Justin Blackmon.

After a long hiatus, the guys return with an NFL news show. The guys spend half the show discussing the current string of “Good Ole Boys” that includes Jaguars rookie WR Justin Blackmon, the Lions Nick Fairley and Vikings FB Jerome Felton. All three players were arrested for DUIs and Blackmon’s is his second offense as he tested in at .24, way over the .08 legal limit.

Steven says all these players will be suspended by commissioner Roger Goodell. The guys also talk about the Seahawks getting docked 2 OTAs because they were running practices with players hitting each other and with Jeff’s visit to the San Diego Chargers OTAs, this was very interesting news to Jeff.

Finally the guys talk about some other news including the Dolphins winning something, being on Hard Knocks, which Steven says will be extremely boring with the exception of possibly having a Lauren Tannehill sighting.
