Episode 8.32 – Week 10 Recap
Steven and Jeff both go 8-5-1 in Week 10 and are unhappy with the Lions and Bears. Steven says he will no longer make last second changes to his picks. Let’s see how long that happens. The guys talk about most of the games in Week 10 but focus on the injuries to quarterbacks.
Steven rants about players not knowing the overtime rules and then raves on Adrian Peterson. Jeff rants on Twilight. Yeah, don’t get him started and the Falcons are undefeated no more thanks to the Saints.
Episode 8.31 – Week 10 Preview
The guys are getting back into the groove of things. This week they get you ready for Week 10 as they preview all 16 games. Jeff tries to sing, Steven shares too much and the guys only differ on one game. Can Jeff catch up in the Challenge Game? Let’s see.
Episode 8.30 – Week 9 Recap
With both guys back from London, they finally get back to the Rave Cave and get back to the podcast. Happy Election Night! Get out and vote.
Episode 8.29 – Week 8 Preview
The guys are in London having way too much fun and working crazy hours. As such, enjoy the show!
Episode 8.28 – Week 7 Recap
LONDON BABY!
The guys are late with a recap of Week 7 because they are working way too late in London. Of course they are loving every minute of it. This week in NFL News, Jeff thinks it a little odd that the NFL did not fine Ndamukong Suh for his hit on quarterback Jay Cutler.
The guys then take a look at all 13 games of Week 7. Both guys finished with identical records of 11-2 although Jeff did win the Challenge Game when the Titans beat the Bills with a come from behind victory. Steven was not too happy about that and he also did not want to give Jeff three pounds for Chris Johnson’s efforts, saying that Jeff could wait to get three dollars back in the U.S.
Finally the guys apologize for having to speak softly in this podcast since they were recording in their hotel room after midnight and did not want to wake their neighbors.
Episode 8.27 – Week 7 Preview
Just a few days before they head out for London, Steven and Jeff get you ready for Week 7 in the NFL. Steven starts out the show by saying he wants to attend a Spurs game in London and then proceeds on ranting on some players, like Jason Pierre-Paul, trying to turn the NFL into the WWE Smackdown as Pierre-Paul uses the media to tell RG3 to run the ball away form JPPs side. Not good.
The guys also talk about the six teams on a bye in Week 7 and feel that the Chargers really needed the break. The guys get through all the games and realize that they only differ on two games this week. Jeff has to pick the Challenge Game and doesn’t like only having two games to choose from. In the end his appreciation for Matt Hasselbeck steers him into taking the Tennessee Titans over the Buffalo Bills.
Jeff teases the song that Steven will be forced to sing as a punishment in London and Steven continues to try to get out of it.
Episode 8.26 – Week 6 Recap
The guys take a look back at the wild, weird, wacky Week 6 in the NFL. Before they discuss the games, Steven and Jeff discuss the Philadelphia Eagles announcing that they dismissed defensive coordinator Juan Castillo. Both guys hate the move and Jeff says Castillo was made the “fall guy” for the team’s 3-3 start. Steven predicts that the Eagles 12th ranked defense will now finish the season ranked in the mid to high 20s. The guys also talk about Mike Holmgren stepping down as team president at the end of the season as new owner Jimmy Haslam III was voted in as the new owner of the Cleveland Browns.
When the guys finally get to the games, they were in shock. Jeff only managed five correct picks while Steven was slightly better with seven. The guys were shocked that the Giants spanked the 49ers in El Juego Grande Estupendo de la Semana and that Tom Brady and the Patriots lost in Seattle to the Seahawks. Jeff did not want to talk about the Cowboys/Ravens game but only because he did not want to talk about the season ending injury to Ray Lewis.
At the end of the day, Steven played the “I Am The Smartest Man Alive” soundbite but he was not happy to hear about his upcoming punishment in London. Will he stay home instead?
Episode 8.25 – Week 6 Preview
No amount of lightening, thunder or power outages could keep the guys from bringing you the Week 6 Preview Show. Before the preview of the 14 games, the guys discuss the announcement that the San Francisco 49ers would be playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in London during the 2013 season. Steven also talked about Ndamukong Suh calling out an unknown GM and no, not General Motors.
The guys then turn to the 14 games of Week 6 and differ on 4 games this week. Steven likes 8 road teams and Jeff thinks that is too many. Are both of them starting to give the Dolphins a little love? Steven gets to pick the Challenge game this week and feels the Green Bay Packers with their backs against the walls will hand the Houston Texans their first loss of the season, while Jeff thinks Houston will stay perfect.
Plus, Jeff finally reveals what Steven’s punishment will be in London. He’s gonna make him do what?
Episode 8.24 – Week 5 Recap
The guys take a look back at Week 5 and get started by reminding everyone that a certain wide receiver that tweeted the Jets during Monday Night Football has been made HWMNBN. Although the Jets could probably use his help, they won’t mention his name until he is signed.
The guys then take a look at the fourteen games of Week 5. Steven is OK with the 9-5 record, but Jeff is not. Steven calls out Willis McGahee for killing the Broncos hopes of mounting a come-back. Steven tells Jeff he is a little happy that Michael “The Turnover Machine” Vick returned to form against the Pittsburgh Steelers and was scared Suisham was going to miss the kick and give the Eagles another one point win. Jeff thinks we will never see safety Troy Polamalu play at a high level again.
In the Challenge Game, Jeff is the “Smartest Man Alive” squeak, as the Rams hand the Cardinals their first loss of the season. Plus the guys congratulate Drew Brees on a great record breaking night against the San Diego Chargers.
