The guys continue their divisional previews as they head over to the NFC, starting with the NFC East. This episode is presented by DraftDay.

In NFL news, the guys discuss the possibility of Von Miller having to serve a six-game suspension, the Miami Dolphins lose TE Dustin Keller to a season-ending injury, the Denver Broncos and New York Giants get hit with the injury bug and the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs play a game of pass the trash! Not that AJ Jenkins and Jon Baldwin are trash or anything like that.

In their NFC East preview, Steven has some negative comments about the Dallas Cowboys. We all know who he will be cheering for, but he does not see how this team can be great with a bad O-line and zero depth. Jeff says that NO depth equals death! The guys are not sure what is happening to Eli, but it looks as if he has regressed. Steven thinks the Eagles will be fine offensively but struggle defensively. Jeff says the Eagles only win if they win high scoring shootouts.

In the end, Jeff gets mad at Steven who is rather quiet during the Washington Redskins segment and he forces Steven to give his analysis. Check it!

Welcome back to NFL Rants & Raves presented by DraftDay.

The guys managed to get back to a two hour show! How’d that happen? The biggest name in comedy dropped by to say hello and drop so funny new NFL team slogans.

First in NFL News, the guys discuss Forbes list of the most and least valuable teams in the NFL. Cowboys up top and Raiders down low. Both Steven and Jeff agree that Donovan McNabb is NOT an expert in brainwashing. J.J. Watt asking the Texans to consider letting him play on the other side of the ball and the guys top Jay-Z with their version of Hard Knock Life as they give you a Hard Knocks update from Cincinnati. They also talk about coach Chud not making a decision on his starting QB.

In the AFC West preview, the Denver Broncos appear to be the team to beat. Steven says he might be liking the Kansas City Chiefs as he feels that coach Andy Reid might finally be able to run the offense he always wanted with Alex Smith at the helm. The Oakland Raiders are going to have a hard time winning more than five games and is anybody really sure what they can expect from the San Diego Chargers? Steven says we will find out real quick once the season starts.

Make sure you check your emails as Fantasy Football Drafts start Saturday, Aug. 17th. Please email the guys if you are going to attend the London parties on either Sept. 28th or Oct. 26tt.

This show is presented by DraftDay.

The guys start with some NFL news as RG3 is expected to begin working in 11-on-11 drills at Tuesday’s practice. Some good news for Redskins fans until they hear he will miss the entire preseason. The Kansas City Chiefs and millions of fantasy owners everywhere got a scare when RB Jamaal Charles stopped at the team’s medical tent before leaving the field on a cart. Fortunately, the X-rays were negative.

The New Orleans Saints bring back x-Cowboys WR Patrick Crayton and Steven questions if at age 34 and being away from football for a season, if he was the best WR available? And finally, Bernie Kosar gets in trouble for blasting third-string quarterback Kellen Clemens and the Rams. Steven says he should be able to have his opinion, but Jeff thinks Kosar was trying too hard to be funny and crossed a line.

In taking a look at the AFC South, Steven predicts the demise of the Houston Texans and feels that the window has closed on them. Jeff thinks that it will be a two team race between the Texans and Colts, but Steven warns that he should not overlook the Tennessee Titans so quickly. After bashing the Jacksonville Jaguars uniforms, Steven tries to find something nice to say about the team, but finds it difficult and laments the fact he will see this team in London over the next four years.

The guys discuss why wide receivers continue to drop like flies. Steven’s calling it the preseason season-ending injury year from hell as the WR Arrelious Benn is out with torn ACL for the Eagles and the Chargers lose WR Danario Alexander, also with torn ACL. Guard Brandon Moore decides to retire one day after agreeing to join Cowboys and Jeff has NO sympathy for quarterback Jay Cutler as he tosses four INTs and gets upset after defensive linemen knocked down his passes.

In the AFC North Preview, the guys disagree on how thy player losses for the Baltimore Ravens will affect the defending Super Bowl Champions. Steven thinks that the Cincinnati Bengals can finally win the division and win a few playoff games. Both guys rave about the first episode of Hard Knocks.

Steven and Jeff agree that the Cleveland Browns will once again find themselves at the bottom of the division and Steven asks Jeff if the Pittsburgh Steelers can they keep Big Ben Roethlisberger healthy? One things they do agree on, is that the Steelers need to get prepared for life without Troy Polamalu.

First up, the AFC East with discussions on the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and the New York Jets.

In NFL News, the guys talk about the Packers O-line woes as Brian Bulaga goes out with a season ending knee injury. The Packers also bring in Vince Young to help bolster their backup QB position. The guys talk about the fall-out from Riley Cooper’s racially insensitive remarks and Patrick Willis requires surgery for his broken hand. The guys also talk about some of the new rule changes in the NFL and how Jim Schwartz will be protected from himself. Finally, the guys bring you the first ever, “good ole girl!”

Plus the guys throw a big shout our to show listener Jeremy Parker who is helping the guys attend BOTH Games of International Series. Cannot thank you enough Jeremy!

Steven and Jeff open the show by welcoming the newest listener to the show, the new Prince George. Jeff thought his name should have been more inclusive, but Steven likes plain ole George.

Onto to football. Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley says that his players should never say “I got it!” The guys agree that he needs to work on his motivational tactics. The Patriots make it clear that they have moved on from Aaron Hernandez and Steven reveals why he stays away from what the media is doing to the Patriots.

Speaking of owners, Jerry Jones has found his golden ticket and has allowed Cowboys Stadium to now be know as AT&T Stadium. For $18 million dollars per year, Steven says he’s OK with that name too. Meanwhile, two former 1st round draft picks are struggling as DT Sedrick Ellis calls it quits while QB Vince Young hits rock bottom. At least he’s not Todd Marinivich under the New Port Beach Pier.

Von Miller is facing a four game suspension but says, “He didn’t let his team down.” Both Steven and Jeff disagree with Mr. Miller. Newest member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Darrelle Revis had some unflattering remarks about the Jets. However the Bucs had to release CB Eric Wright when his failed physical voided the trade between Tampa Bay and the San Francisco 49ers.

The guys finish the show discussing the spectacle that is RB Chris Johnson running against a cheetah. Jeff says put your money on the cheetah. Finally, the guys finish by answering some listener questions posted on Facebook.

Steven and Jeff come back from a nice vacation and get ready for football. The guys talk about the Aaron Hernandez situation and update his current status.

Cam Newton reveals that he is still an “Atlanta kid a heart” and pulls for the Falcons except when the play the Panthers. Jeff calls him a traitor and gives him some words of advise. This cannot be good for Cam, right?

The Oakland Raiders are downsizing. No, not their team but the capacity for their stadium. To avoid game blackouts in the bay area, the Raiders plan to bring the stadium capacity down to 50,000. The size of their new proposed stadium. Raiders say give us a new stadium or we are moving to … that’s right, L.A.

The guys discuss the Dallas Cowboys topping the list of most richest NFL teams and 5th overall on Forbes list of highest valued sports franchises. Steven might have stepped in it when he said Cowboys Stadium might be better then Wembley. Oops.

Plus the guys finish the show with talking about the Denver Broncos punishments of player personnel bosses, Jaguars owner Shad Kahn owns a new team and the Seattle Seahawks fans will try to roar their way into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Although the guys tease that this is an all Tim Tebow show, they assure everyone that is not going to happen. They do talk about Tebow to the Patriots to open the show. They then discuss the two most recent recipients of the HWMNBN designation. Terrell Owens seeking for a team and Chad Ochocinco Johnson getting 30 days in jail.

The guys pay their respects to Deacon Jones who passed away on June 3rd. Jeff recalls seeing him play as a kid and that the “Fearsome Foursome” were the best.

Steven talks about his recent posting of quotes, including Doug Marrone on EJ Manuel, Brett Favre on his fault with what happened with the Packers and recently with Tony Romo saying that the media doesn’t matter. Steven then tries to get Jeff to pledge his allegiance to the New Orleans Saints, but Jeff says he is just concerned about the Saints because of Victor Butler’s ACL injury.

Other injuries the guys talk about include, Michael Crabtree, Jason Pierre-Paul, Ben Roethlisberger’s and Ed Reed. They also discuss Josh Gordan’s suspension and Jets new QB Gino Smith responding with a “No comment” when questioned about him attending Jets West camp.

Steven and Jeff get back to some NFL News. The guys start with a triple treat of “Good ‘O’ Boys” as the Buccaneers S Cody Grimm is arrested for public intoxication, the Saints WR Joe Morgan is arrested for a DUI and the Jets RB Mike Goodson is arrested on drug and weapons charges. Some guys will never learn!

Jeff changes the subject to losing weight, and on that note, the subject of a leaner JaMarcus Russell popped up. Jeff said that RG3 wanted to have some weight loss, and Steven said RG3 did not have a problem. Later Jeff said it was Cam Newton who said he wanted the weight loss, which made more sense to Steven.

Injuries have hit teams early this year. Rob Gronkowski is set to have back surgery, although his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, downplayed the back surgery, saying, “It’s not serious.” Steven had tons to say about that. Arian Foster is set to miss the rest of the Houston Texans’ OTAs and the minicamps due to his strained right calf. and Trent Richardson has a shin injury but he insists that “Injury prone is not going to be me.”

Plus the guys talk about NFL agents fuming at Jay-Z, Keyshawn Johnson scaring Justin Beiber and Joe Namath rips the Jets, AGAIN. Both guys agree it may be time for old Joe to step away.

Steven and Jeff are keeping track of what the NFL owners are doing during the spring owners meetings. First order of business was to award Super Bowl L and LI to two locations. San Francisco is set to host Super Bowl L while Houston was awarded Super Bowl LI. Jeff brings up an interesting point about how much money is spent on news stadiums as Atlanta gets set for a new home.

Steven is not too thrilled about the league moving the NFL Draft to May. Longtime Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher announces his retirement. Charles Woodson heads to Oakland and Cowboys QB Tony Romo is out 3 to 4 weeks, but not for having back surgery.

Finally, the guys have some fun with Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin saying OTAs are just “football in shorts.”
