What a wild Week 3. In NFL News, the guys discuss why Pierre Garcon continues to talk about RG3’s health. Time for Garcon to leave it alone and drop it. San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York says that Aldon Smith will take an indefinite leave of absence. Steven asks why he did not do this prior to Sunday’s game with the Colts. Arizona Cardinals S Rashad Johnson lost top of his left middle finger after tackling Saints’ Darren Sproles on punt return. It was still in the glove. Ouch!

TMZ reported that WR Jacoby Jones was “bleeding everywhere” after a stripper named Sweet Pea struck him in the head with a large bottle of champagne Sunday night. Jeff says the only Sweet Pea he knows was the baby in Popeye. Steven says he is not sure what is going on with Jones. Steven puts Jeff on the hot seat and asks him which 3-0 team, Patriots, Dolphins, Chiefs, Broncos, Bears, Saints or Seahawks will NOT make the playoffs. Also find out which 0-3 team, Steelers, Jaguars, Giants, Redskins, Vikings or Buccaneers have a chance to make the playoffs.

The guys then look at the 16 games in Week 3 and go what a crazy week. Jeff is the Smartest Man Alive again, but Steven says Jeff should not take it since he had to use a last second Hail Mary to win it. Jeff says he will take it anyway he can.

The guys get you ready for Week 3 and only differ on two games this week. First in NFL News, the guys discuss the fact that Brandon Meriweather did not get suspended. Makes sense then that the league dropped Dashon Goldson’s suspended and instead fine him $100,000, which the guys call getting “Suhed”. Steven says that Bucs’ coach Greg Schiano was wrong in saying his talk with Revis was NOT needed.

Speaking of the Buccaneers, the NFL helmet policy prevents the Bucs from wearing their throwback uniforms. Steven likes the creamsicle unis, but Jeff says no big loss. Steven says he just hates that they will not be able to see the Cowboys throwback uniform. Finally in HUGE NFL News, the guys tell you what they think about Trent Richardson being traded to the Colts. Steven really rips the Cleveland Browns.

In covering the 16 games, Steven and Jeff are only disagreeing on 2 games. Steven is making the Chargers his Challenge Game pick as he likes San Diego while Jeff is taking the Titans.

Jeff was nearly perfect in Week 2 as he went 14-2 with his only losses being upsets in Philadelphia and Indianapolis. Steven would up going 11-5 after he made a huge mistake and picked San Francisco over Seattle. In the end, the only game that mattered was the Challenge Game where Jeff sneaked out a one point win when the Cowboys ruined their final drive of the game & CB Morris Claiborne was penalized on 3rd down to extend the Chiefs final drive.

In NFL News, the guys talk about Dashon Goldson getting a one game suspension for his hit on the Saints Darren Sproles. Steven wonders why Redskins’ starting safety, Brandon Meriweather, was not suspended for his helmet-to-helmet hits (that’s right plural) that knocked Packers’ running back Eddie Lacy out with a concussion and then later on when he knocked himself out of the game when he himself suffered a concussion on his second helmet-to-helmet on James Starks.

Jeff puts Steven on the hot seat and asks if RG3 is OK? How did Steven answer that question? Finally the guys go rapid fire, talking about all 16 games. Find out what they have to say about the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers.

The guys get ready for Week 2 and already Steven hates that we are moving towards the end of the season. First in NFL News, the guys feel that Ndamukong Suh really does not get it by saying, “I won’t change the way I play football.” What an idiot. Steven says that if he does not change, he will find him self missing games due to suspension. Suh apologizing to his teammates and fans is getting old.

The Thursday Night Game is in the books, but since the show was recorded on Wednesday, it will be interesting to hear what the guys have to say about Jets at Patriots.

In Week 2 Jeff makes a couple surprising picks and feels that only two road teams will win. Everyone can tell which two road teams will win, but Steven thinks there are a few other road teams worthy of consideration. Jeff makes a stunning Challenge Game pick by taking the Kansas City Chiefs over the Dallas Cowboys. Steven tries to warn Jeff, but he will have nothing to do it. That is going to be a very interesting game.

All in all, the guys only differ on a couple of games, and as they talk about all 16 games maybe Steven may change a few right before game time.

What a way to kick off the new NFL season. Peyton Manning destroys the Ravens by throwing seven touchdown passes, the Cowboys force six turnovers and barely escape with a victory over the Giants and every single team in the AFC North lost in Week 1.

First, the guys look at Ndamukong Suh getting penalized again and looking to get fined by the league AGAIN for his illegal block in the Vikings game. Jeff and Steven both think Mike Wallace is acting like a prima donna wide receiver for being angry for having one catch as the Dolphins beat the Browns, making Steven the Smartest Man Alive. Then Steven agrees with Jerry Jones when Jones said that the Giants players were faking injuries during the Cowboys game. Steven rants about the fakers and comes up with a way for the league to stop players from faking injuries.

Jeff rants on running backs and the state of running backs in the NFL. Jeff feels that in this pass-happy league, running backs are becoming extinct and those teams that do have good running backs are not using them effectively.

The guys get through the Thursday and Sunday games and cannot wait to see two more on Monday Night Football. This podcast was presented by DraftDay.

We are finally here! The Week 1 Preview Show means that start of the NFL season is upon us. At the time of the show becoming available to everyone, we are 24 hours away from Ravens at Broncos and 2013 NFL Kickoff!

First in NFL news, Steven comes to the defense of Rex Ryan. He says there is no way people should be angry at Ryan for going to see his son play instead of staying at the Jets facilities to talk to players getting cut. Jeff also agrees that Ryan made the right call. The Jets and Bills name starting QBs for Week 1. Jeff says, “As if that’s going to help!” Jeff also feels that the three states in the U.S. that have three football teams each, only have one good team between them.

The Texans give Brian Cushing a 6-year, $55.643 million contract extension which includes $21 million in guaranteed money. Jeff likes the deal for both sides while Steven raises his eyebrows at the amount. Steven says Brian Urlacher needs to stop talking, but Jeff gives him a pass.

Finally, the guys get to making picks and Steven and Jeff disagree on a whopping eight games. Going to be an interesting Week 1.

It’s finally here! The start of the football season is just a few days away, so Steven and Jeff bring you their 2013 NFL Prediction Show.

First of all, Jeff finally reveals the team he will cheer on this season. Will this mean the dreaded “Jeff Ellis Curse” will bring this powerhouse down? One thing is certain, Jeff is all in with this pick.

Before the guys discuss their final predictions for the season, Steven has to talk about Ray Lewis’ conspiracy theory behind the black out during the Super Bowl last year. Lewis claims someone pulled the plug because they were afraid the Ravens were about to blow out the 49ers. Steven tells Lewis that sometimes it is best to keep quiet about certain things.

Finally the guys get to reveal their predictions and with the exception of two teams, Steven and Jeff agree on tons this season. Did Steven finally get pick a different NFC team to make the Super Bowl? You will have to listen to find out.

The guys wrap up their divisional preview shows by tackling the NFC West. First in NFL News, the guys look at the New York Jets quarterback situation. So bad there that they brought in the Packers’ rejects. Peyton Manning asks fans to be good fans and quiet down in certain situations. In some NFL locker rooms, members of the press are being encouraged to bring hazmat suits. OK, maybe not, but staph infection outbreaks are getting out of control.

In Chicago, the new Brandon Marshall plan brings more questions than answers. He gets four personal days off right before the season starts? Seems a little questionable to the guys. Plus the Dallas Cowboys are now in possession of “Secret Sauce” to win Super Bowls.

As they turn their attention to the NFC West, Steven likes the Seahawks and Cardinals and makes a bold prediction about the 49ers. Jeff still likes the 49ers to top the division and he likes the Rams a little too much for Steven’s tastes. Steven says it is because he wants them back in L.A. Finally, can you believe that after 9 seasons, Jeff has no complaint about how Steven placed the teams in alphabetical order. Curious!

Prior to getting into the NFC South teams, the guys discuss some NFL News. The NFL has a big mess at the QB position as Kevin Kolb goes down in Buffalo leaving a Tuel at starting QB. Bong Boy, Matt Leinart bounces back and lands in Buffalo, while Rex Ryan puts on a post game presser to be remembered because he will not answer questions about why Mark Sanchez was in a meaningless game in the fourth quarter behind 2nd and 3rd string offensive linemen.

Raider Nation may be putting out a help wanted sign and Steven says Matt Flynn pulled off a heist in Seattle. Plus we have a “Good ole Boy” and you will not believe who it is and what he has done. Jeff recaps MRI Monday and we find out Tony Moeaki has a fractured shoulder, prompting Steven to call him FRAGILE!

The guys open their new segment Dig & Ditch on DraftDay. As Steven and Jeff get set to play Daily Fantasy Football on DraftDay.com, both guys give you advice on what kind of strategy to use when selecting players.

NFC SOUTH PREVIEW
• Atlanta Falcons – Steven says the Falcons will not win the division again while Jeff believes they will win it again.
• Carolina Panthers – Steven says that the Panthers defense looks like they will keep Carolina in a lot of games. Jeff thinks they might win enough games to be a wild card team.
• New Orleans Saints – Jeff is not sold on the Saints defense and wonders why New Orleans would take a guy in Rob Ryan that the Cowboys were quick to show the door. Steven says the offense will do enough to help the Saints win the division and look out for Mark Ingram.
• Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Both guys agree that the Bucs are a dumpster fire and just a tiny step above the Oakland Raiders. Steven says that Josh Freeman has regressed and looks uninterested and Jeff believes that Josh no longer cares about playing in Tampa Bay.

The guys get right to it talking about Von Miller’s suspension in NFL NEWS. Both guys thing this could become a huge problem with the Denver Broncos and Steven makes Miller, Boob ‘O’ The Day! The Buffalo Bills get Jairus Byrd back as he signs his one-year, $6.9 million franchise tender, Browns coach Rob Chudzinski finally names Brandon Weeden as Cleveland’s starting QB, but Barkevious Mingo’s return to the field remains a mystery and Steven both agrees and disagrees with James Harrison’s latest antics on Hard Knocks from Cincinnati.

As the guys turn their attention to the NFC West, Steven asks can Jay Cutler handle the Marc Trestman offense? While Jeff calls Cutler a one-trick pony! The guys agree that the Detroit Lions are not good, even with Superstar Calvin Johnson on the team. The Green Bay Packers remain the tops in the division but have they finally found a running game? Steven expects good things from Eddie Lacy. Steven thinks the Minnesota Vikings can give the Packers a run for their money and hopes they avoid a QB controversy w/ Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel? Jeff thinks Cassel has no shot

There are 6 spots left in extra fantasy football league. So if there are 6 more players out there, please come forward! The guys also preview a new segment for next week, Dig and Ditch on DraftDay. This will be a segment where Jeff and Steven will discuss which players to put on their DraftDay fantasy teams and why. Coming soon!
