The Chicago Bears playoff chances took it on the thumb yesterday as they came out victorious over the San Diego Chargers, but losing their quarterback Jay Cutler suffered a broken thumb on his throwing hand in the 4th quarter and though remaining in the game and throwing two passes, will have surgery to fix the thumb. While the team is hopeful that he will be able to return later in the season. The guys wonder about Cutler’s tendency to get mysterious injuries late in the season.

Everyone’s favorite segment, MRI Monday is smaller than usual but has some BIG names on it. Vikings Adrian Peterson, sprained his left ankle and will be day to day. Titans Matt Hasselbeck, strained his right throwing elbow and could be seen on the sideline incased in ice. Bills running back, Fred Jackson, got a calf strain in his right leg and missed most of the second half. Packers running back, James Starks sprained his right knee and it could be John Koon time. Raiders wide-receiver, Darrius Heyward-Bey suffered a spine injury against the Vikings and was thankfully able to return home with the team
