One would think that defeating the New England Patriots in week three of the preseason would have the St. Louis Rams and their fans dancing in the streets. For the numerous things which went right in last night’s game, one thing went horribly wrong; third year wide receiver,
Donnie Avery tore the ACL in his right knee in the second quarter of last night’s game and will miss the remainder of the 2010 season. Head Coach,
Steve Spagnuolo said that Avery will wait for the swelling to subside before undergoing surgery.
Last season Avery emerged as the most productive wide-out in the Rams receiving corps: ranking first in yards per reception, receptions for touchdowns, and receiving yards; while being second in total catches. He was looking like one of the special young players on the rise in the NFL, but that designation will have to be put on hold as he undergoes surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation process. For the Rams, their season which seemed so bright has grown much darker with this news.

This news makes Jeff a happy man!
And also, I would like to make a formal apology to Steven on this here website. Lat night in our RARN FF draft, I took Tony Romo with the first pick of the third round, seemingly inducing both shock and anger from the aforementioned presenter.
So, Steven, I’m sorry. Well, kind of. I mean, I made the pick with foreign ignorance, and I whilst in the apologetic mood, my first pick was AP, which irritated a certain Vikings fan, Kevin I believe. To you sir, I do apologise.
Hope all is well in R&Rs land.
I hope for Bradfords sake the receiver from cinci steps up as a rookie
Jeff please dont have too much fun with this. As much as I love you sir. Every time you make fun of the Rams its like you are taking a shot at my family. Donnie Avery going down is like seeing my Grandma tear an ACL.
I hope the Rams will sign Antonio Bryant and we will still be able to do pretty well. Im hoping for 6 wins.
Get well soon Donnie and Go Rams!
From their Welsh fan, Lewis
Hey Lewis from a Bengals fans perspective on picking up bryant, you might not want to hope for that, he does have a love for the game and is good, he just does not know when to rest and recover.
HAHA are you serious. The rams are known as the lambs for a reason their picking in the top 5 for at least the next three seasons. Season of promise. Come on guys your better then this.
