From Jeff:
Getting near half-time of the challenge game between the Ravens and the Broncos. Steven and I both agreed prior to the snap that inclement weather favors Baltimore. I am starting to wonder if Denver could score under ideal conditions against this defense.
Should I lose the Challenge game tonight, it will not be because of the weather. Nor should anyone suggest that I fail to appreciate the greatness of the Baltimore D, given their status as my most consistent fantasy point getter. It will just be a loss.
BTW the rain with tiny snow flurries look awesome in High-Def on Steven’s plasma. Pizza was dinner tonight and the kids are playing nicely allowing us to enjoy this weird game. 03-03
I caught the four quarter…I’m impress with Broncos defense. They are really good. As long as their ofense don’t cost them the game they will win alot of games
As an extreme Titans fan I’m excited for Steve McNair’s success in Baltimore. Which is why I almost broke out in tears when he threw his 3rd INT. People keep comparing him to his success in Tennessee but remember…when he was there he had Eddie George. Jamal Lewis dosnt seem to have that ‘spunk’ he had two seasons ago.
Baltimore is good. There defense is the best in the AFC…hands down. But in order to compete with AFC defensive powerhouse’s like Jacksonville, Denver (who we saw last night has one heck of a D), San Diego, and Kansas City, they are going to have to complimant their running game a little more. This years Jamal Lewis is no one where near to the 1999 and 2000 Eddie George…which is what helped make McNair what he was. I would love to see #9 get a ring though!
And yes…the game looked B-E-A-UTIFUL in HD. I could literally see 1 or 2 gray hairs sprout from Brian Billick’s scalp in frustration.
p.s. i love the podcast
Thank you for somewhat laying off of the “Big Mistake Jake” angle. Jake did well in Arizona (taking them to the playoffs), and currently has a higher winning percentage with the Broncos than John Elway did.
He is and will always be “Big Mistake Jake” EOD!
