Arizona are in the NFC Jeff not the AFC, but otherwise I like the list, although Minnesota still in moss?
Thanks, Hugh. Fixed my boo-boo.
Jeff, I think I agree with Steven that it’s a little early for the “moss”… for almost anyone. Maybe the Jags and Raiders (they lost to Miami?!) The Browns barely lost to two decent teams, KC wasn’t bad.. Buffalo and Atlanta were better, Minnesota? That’s just weird… :)
Overall looks really good. I think you have Philly a tad too high, but really hard to do these rankings early in the year. Good on ya!
Jeff even though Arizona are not amazing they have a top 10 D and are one of the 4 teams that 2 and 0. Philly similarly but less so. Both should be at least top 10. As a saints fan I think that u r also being too kind to the saints
Good stuff Jeff. Personally I’d have Seahawks and Rams the other way round. Seahawks Defence is one of the best in the league. Otherwise not too much that I can really get too distraught about. Keep up the good work!
So you rank a team that gets absolutely destroyed by 20pts, 13 higher than the winner. What kind of “Powerful” rankings is this, Jeff?
Perhaps referring to Cowbous and Seahawks… both teams moved four places in appropriate direction. Most importantly Seattle moved out of the mossy color and have changed my mind that they are legit team.
Maybe Carolina and Chicago a tad low? I might flip the Colts and Seahawks. It’s still too early to really tell.
I get that you (and Steven) are not high on Eagles, and I understand why. However, Giants and Colts (for example) get credit for getting a W. As much as Eagles have not played well, and have been a turnover machine, they have 2 wins – and have played against 2 very good Ds. If they go to Arizona and beat the 2-0 Crads (!), will they get some grudging respect/ credit??
I’ve done mine to help fantasy picks and I have a big grey area. Arizona, Tampa, Washington, Chicago, the Bungles, St Louis, Saints, Bills, Jets, Chargers,… all might finish either side of 0.500. I also have a bad feeling that the Cowboys are going to become the new Chargers, liable to underperform and maybe reach the playoffs for years to come.
Jeff, do you know that all but two of your “mossy” teams won their games this week?! Crazy!! (And the other two, Cleveland and Miami, put up good fights!)
Boy this league is nuts… :)
Fair’s fair. I stuck up for my Eagles on the basis that Jeff wasn’t giving them a decent crack of the whip. You know what? He’s right! This Eagles team sucks! I don’t think they should – they have the talent, and can still make the playoffs – but right now, they do. Jeff has called it as he see’s it, and he’s seeing the Eagles spot on!
Vick needs to get his act together, or out the bye it will be Nick Foles leading the team.
The Cardinals are no longer in the cellar of the NFC West, which they should not be after defeating the Patriots.
