The Jets and Eagles continue to fall as the Jets drop 7 spots while the Eagles slide down 5 spots to 20th. The Lions rise to crack the Top 5 while the Chiefs vacate the bottom spot and gladly hand it over to the winless Vikings.

(0-4) Might be time to start Ponder(ing) the future of this team

I think the Giants are the best team in the NFC East. But I do agree with you keeping the Skins above them thus far since the Skins did beat them (although they were injury riddled) in week one. I think as the season moves along, they Giants may separate themselves if they can continue to make strides. They, like the Cowboys and Eagles, seem to be very Jeckyl and Hyde thus far. I think any of the three can beat anyone on given day, and perhaps lose to anyone on a given day. As for the Skins, I think they’ve done it with smoke and mirrors, a stout defensive front seven, and a favorable schedule.
As I predicted at the beginning of the season, this division is as much of a crap shoot as any in the NFL. Any team can beat anybody if their team plays the way they could, and any could lose to any other team if they play the way they have shown.
Have we got the new cardiac cats with the lions? And what is it with the G-Men? First, Plax shoots himself in the leg, implicating many of his teammates, and then there was the whole faking fiasco. Is this a problem maybe?
Really well done, Jeff. I agree with everything. A much better list than the first one.
I’m not gonna complain too much (having only heard the game, not seen it) but MAN our Bills were seemingly on the (very) short end of the referee stick. What are ya gonna do? Sometimes it happens. Just wish they couldda snuck out a win. (But they might have still dropped in the rankings, eh? Was thinking they win by at LEAST two TDs … I was wrong!) :)
I did say for the last two weeks on your power rankings posts as a Jet fan you had them too high, even at 10 i feel they are too high after that performance on Sunday Night, but one or two places down isnt going to make that much of a difference.
If Romo wasnt at the Cowboys would he be under this much scrutiny?
Even though I agree, it just feels wrong to see the Lions next to the Patriots.
Bet Barry Sanders wishes he didn’t retire now, huh…. He’s had 13 years to rest up!
As a KC fan I’m loving the promotion to the 25th spot!! Thanks Jeff, feeling much more positive now after the dabilitating injuries that kept coming our way – any team that loses Jamaal Charles (6.9 yds a carry on a consistent basis), Eric Berry (future hall of famer??) Tony Moeaki and a still thumped Jonathan Baldwin would suffer, but it’s amazing what a win does, it really picks you up. We played hard in the 2nd half against San Diego and the offense fired then and we managed to take it into this game with some impressive Offensive line play and the defensive line was beastly – even Tyson Jackson!! Our big plays to Bowe and Breaston reminded me of some of our home wins last year. So, thank you for the 7 place promotion Jeff!
I fear the worst for my Dolphins this year, I just hope they get some love they deserve from power rankers as THE worst team in football soon
