NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally reinstated X-Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick today.
So, what does this mean for Vick?
Well, for starters, Vick is free to sign with any team int he NFL. He can immediately take part in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and he is available to fully participate in training camps. Vick is also allowed to play in the final two preseason games.
Then once the season begins, Vick can still participate in all team activities except for games. Then the waiting game begins. Goodell said he would consider Vick for full reinstatement BY Week 6 (Oct. 18-19) at the latest.
Which means that he could come back before Week 6, but most likely he will not be able to play until Week 7.
So here comes the final part in Vick’s journey. Finding a team to sign him. Is there an owner out there willing to take the PR hit that is sure to come with the signing of Mike Vick?
There are only a handful of teams we feel would take a chance on Vick. Listen to Episode 5.14 to find out where Vick might land.
