After bringing in Josh McCown, the 49ers decided to go another way as the cut the QB and head into the season with only 2 QBs in Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick. Jeff has a feeling about how long the 49ers will give Smith to lead the team.
In another move, the team cut center Chase Beeler and then resigned to practice squad as they head into Sunday’s game vs. Seattle with Jonathan Goodwin at center.
Finally, the guys preview Week 1, a 49er home game vs the Seattle Seahawks. Both Steven and Jeff are optimistic that the 49ers will have a great game at home. Jeff looks for the 49ers to do plenty of running with Frank Gore, while Steven sees the 49ers defense stopping an inept Seahawks offense to win by at least 10 points.
Whilst the Seahawks numbers aint that good against the run, last year, with Bed Bryant, in the first 6 Weeks we had a top 5 run defence. Red is back and I think run D will be our strength this year.
Why won’t they just give Whitehurst a legitimate starting chance? The kid has been itching to take the reigns.
I’m on the fence if I should play Braylon this week. The match up looks good for him. It’s a toss up between him and Plaxico on my team. So many decisions!
