Tennessee (1-1) @ NY Giants (1-1): |

Cincinnati (1-1) @ Carolina (0-2): After facing two tough defense, the Bengals offense finally will get some breathing room and light up a Panthers secondary that is suspect. Not even Jimmy Clausen’s first start will be enough to help Carolina win at home. |
20 |
10 |
Pittsburgh (2-0) @ Tampa Bay (2-0): The Steelers were supposed to be 1-3 by the time Ben Roethlisberger returns from suspension. However the Steelers have different plans. Tampa Bay is a very young team that has surprised everyone with two big wins. Unfortunately, they face a fierce Steelers defense that will pressure and confuse the young Buccaneers offense. Charlie Batch manages the game well enough to give the Steelers a 3-0 start. |

Buffalo (0-2) @ New England (1-1): How many times have you heard this, this week? The Patriots have won 13 straight games over the Bills! True, that some of those games have been close, but after getting embarrassed by the Jets last week, there is no way that Tom Brady allows the Patriots to lose at home to another division opponent. Patriots win big! Period. |
12 |
23 |
Cleveland (0-2) @ Baltimore (1-1): Can Eric Mangini already be on the hot seat after losing two close games his team should have won? If he isn’t already, he will be after losing three straight. The Ravens finally get to have their home opener and Joe Flacco and Ray Rice are just itching to get the Ravens offense back on track. Something they will have no problem doing at home. |
27 |
20 |
San Francisco (0-2) @ Kansas City (2-0): After starting the season with zero passion and a loss at Seattle, the 49ers showed this past Monday Night what they can do when they play inspired football. Look for 49ers to give the Chiefs a heavy dose of Frank Gore. The 49ers will correct their mistakes from the first two weeks and win a close one on the road. |
28 |
23 |
Dallas (0-2) @ Houston (2-0): Remember Week 15 last year when nobody gave the Cowboys a chance to win against the then, unbeaten New Orleans Saints. Dallas was coming off a two game slide and went into a hostile environment, silenced the raucous crowd and gave the Saints their first loss. When the Cowboys don’t make mistakes, they are tough to beat. Expect them to be focused, play a turnover free game and hand the Texans their first loss of the season. |
13 |
20 |
Detroit (0-2) @ Minnesota (0-2): Week after week, the Lions keep getting better, but there is no chance Brett Favre lets the Vikings fall to 0-3. The Vikings defense and Jared Allen will pressure Shaun Hill all day and make sure they stop rookie Jahvid Best. Adrian Peterson will out gain the rookie and give the Vikings their first win of the season. |
21 |
24 |
Atlanta (1-1) @ New Orleans (2-0): I’d like to pick the Falcons here and if they were playing in Atlanta, I would. However Drew Brees just keeps pulling out wins out of a hat, and until the Saints lose, I cannot bring myself to pick against them, especially at home. Even with the loss of Reggie Bush, the Saints will find a way to win another close game and move to 3-0. |
Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 – 4:05 pm
24 |
13 |
Washington (1-1) @ St. Louis (0-2): Donovan McNabb was on fire last week and I expect that will continue again this week in a fast track inside the Edwards Jones Dome. The Redskins defense will come out with a chip on their shoulder after giving up a 17 point lead to Houston last week and Sam Bradford and the Rams will suffer for it. |
27 |
16 |
Philadelphia (1-1) @ Jacksonville (1-1): He’s baaaack! One week after looking like a superstar again, Michael Vick had taken over the starting quarterback job in Philadelphia. Maurice Jones-Drew may not be available for the game, but with or without him, the Jaguars will not have enough offense to out duel Vick and the Eagles. |
Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 – 4:15 pm
33 |
20 |
Indianapolis (1-1) @ Denver (1-1): The Broncos were riding high coming off a big win against Seattle then came crashing down with the news of the death of teammate Kenny McKinley. Not sure how the Broncos are focused enough to play a game, much less against Peyton Manning and the Colts. |
10 |
27 |
Oakland (1-1) @ Arizona (1-1): Derek Anderson does enough to keep his quarterback job for one more week. Getting Beanie Wells back will help. Arizona is tough at home, and the Raiders are not consistent enough to play well on the road. Not sure how the move to Bruce Gradkowski helps the Raiders at all this week. Typical Raiders! |

San Diego (1-1) @ Seattle (1-1): |
Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 – 8:20 pm
28 |
24 |
NY Jets (1-1) @ Miami (2-0): The Dolphins swept the Jets last year winning at home 31-27 and in New York 30-25. The Jets showed last week that they can play with the best within their division and in the league and are looking to avenge those two losses from a year ago. Mark Sanchez turned a corner last week and this week, he takes it to the Dolphins. |
Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 – 8:30 pm

20 |
Green Bay (2-0) @ Chicago (2-0): Monday night. Soldier Field. 2-0 versus 2-0 for an early division lead. The ball has certainly bouncing the Bears way and they have been wining with smoke and mirrors. The magic ends this week as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers work some magic of their own. Plus the Packers unleash their defense and have Clay Matthews become very familiar with Jay Cutler. |

Sorry Steve, but the Texans will beat the Cowboys. I don’t think it will be close, the Texans have an awesome offense and if the Bears can put points on the Cowboys, I worry for the Dallas defense. Yeah they’re tough to beat when they don’t make mistakes – that goes for any NFL team, and Dallas have been making so many mistakes I can’t see them all being cut out. Texans to win 30-13.
Nice job :) is there no end to all you want to do for us listeners?
Jack, if the Texans beat the Cowboys by a score of 30-13 – I will give you and the Texans an on-air apology.
Agree with every one of your picks this week Steven. The one that really worries me though is San Fran.Which niners team will show up?Surely though, the Chiefs can’t go 3-0…… Can they???????
I am going out on a limb here and mark an “up set of the week” match up.
Lions WILL beat the Vikings. The roar will return and number 4 and his “bionic” ankle will fall to 0-3.
Here we go Steelers :)
Steven sorry but, Dallas now? against a motivated Houston team…that is a no-brainer^^
Steve – I’m honoured you even read my post. And if the Cowboys do win, feel free to send dollops of humble pie to my house.
I don’t think this is your year Steven.
I don’t think you are using your head on the Cowboys. Your reasoning is now they will really try. What an indictment against Wade Phillips. But, will a new attitude suddenly help the offensive line pass or run block? Will the new attitude help the offense click on the road? I realise Cowboy fans, like Yankee fans, think their team is the only team in the NFL, but I think the confident Texans will be motivated too. The trap game was last week, on the road at Washington, and they won. They will look to put down their overrated in-state rival. Sorry, Steven. But the Texans will beat the Cowboys at home.
Also, I think you are overestimating the 49ers and underestimating the Chiefs in Arrowhead. Alex Smith will have the same problems in KC that he had in Seattle. And, Singletary will be on the quick hotseat.
The Cowboys will win today and do that in an impressive way.
The team is good and more than capable, and now they have that sense of urgency, that you need.
Watch out.
again you go against the bucs but be warned i think another win to go 3-0 forthe first time in 5 years come on bucs.
I, Lance Mac, will never question Steven’s knowledge of the Cowboys again.
Sorry Steven, but this dallas thing…was god-like!^^
Best week three in a long time! FOOOOOOOTBALLLLLL!
