Minnesota @ New Orleans:
A rematch of last years NFC Championship Game. The Vikings turned the ball over five times in that game and the Saints still needed the overtime period to win. If Favre can stay upright and the Vikings can win the turnover battle, the Vikings win the game. However, those are some mighty big IFs!

24

Denver @ Jacksonville:
The Broncos will not find any miracles on the field to start the season this year, even with Tim Tebow on the team. Look for the Jaguars to come out and ride Maurice Jones-Drew to a big day as the Jaguars hold of the Broncos late for a win.

10

30

Oakland @ Tennessee:
The Titans are at home and will begin Chris Johnson’s chase for 2,105. The Raiders have improved slightly, but the first game with a new QB (Jason Campbell) on the road against a playoff contender will be too much for the Raiders to handle. Titans win easily.

21

24

Cincinnati @ New England:
This game will be much closer than many anticipate. The Patriots are starting the season with an extremely young group in the secondary going up against some skilled veteran wide receivers in Ochocinco and T.O. Carson Palmer finds his groove from a few seasons ago, but still come up short on the road.

20

16

Cleveland @ Tampa Bay:
Jake Delhomme is in a new home and it appears he is once again comfotable behind center. The Browns will not win many games this year, but they will handle an extremely young Buccaneers team.

28

23

Indianapolis @ Houston:
Since they started playing football in Houston again eight years ago, the Texans are 1 and 15 versus the Colts. That’s one win and 15 losses. No way I take the Texans over the Colts until I actually seem them beat the Colts a couple of times. Even with the Colts offensive line woes, I like Mannint to quite the Houston crowd quickly.

17

27

Detroit @ Chicago:
The Lions have come along way from their 0-16 season and are no longer the laughing stock of the league. They will play tougher and their defense is much improved. Still, the Bears are at home and OC Mike Martz will have Jay Cutler and the offense humming for season opener at home.

20

17

Atlanta @ Pittsburgh:
No Santonio Holmes. No Big Ben. No Byron Leftwich. No win! Yes, it’s that simple. The Falcons are coming off of back to back winning seasons and they have only gotten better. Matt Ryan gets the team in field goal late to steal a win on the road.

24

14

Miami @ Buffalo:
The Bills best offensive weapon is rookie RB C.J. Spiller. However, that will not be enough to overpower the Dolphins. The Dolphins bring in their new toy in Brandon Marshall, and he will have a big day against a weak Bills defensive secondary.

17

26

Carolina @ NY Giants:
The Giants will be opening a new stadium to start the season, and that will be all the motivation they need to get the win. Head Coach John Fox begins what might be his last season as the Panthers head coach and with young Matt Moore at QB, the start of the season will be a rough one.
Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 – 4:15 pm

24

28

Green Bay @ Philadelphia:
The Packers may well be everybody’s darling team this season, but they have started out very slow in recent years and this year looks to be no different. I expect the Eagles to come out fast and strong behind new QB Kevin Kolb as the Packers once again stumble coming out of the gate.

23

14

Arizona @ St. Louis:
With Matt Leinart gone, the Cardinals hand over the reins to QB Derek Anderson, and although that may not keep the Cardinals competive all season long, it will be good enought to get past the Rams and rookie QB Sam Bradford. The Rams have very little on the offensive side of the ball.

20

17

San Francisco @ Seattle:
The 49ers are primed to take over the division and if they are going to win it this year, they have to start by winning their divisional games. Pete Carroll is about to get a rude welcome back to the NFL as Mike Singletary will unload his defense at a lackluster Seahawk offense.
Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 – 8:20 pm

31

10

Dallas @ Washington:
Haynesworth or no Haynesworth, Washington is still Washington and they will struggle to run the ball against a powerful Cowboys defensive front. The Cowboys have suffocated QB Donovan McNabb in his last three games against Dallas and I look for a repeat a fourth time.
Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 – 7:00 pm

20

14

Baltimore @ NY Jets:
If Hard Knocks taught us anything (besides the Jets can curse) it’s that the Jets have some problems on the offensive side of the ball with taking care of it. Look for a stingy Ravens defense to come after second year QB Mark Sanchez and get a win on the road.
Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 – 10:15 pm

30

14

San Diego @ Kansas City:
Philip Rivers is ready to do all he can do to make sure the Chargers do not start the season off slow, and he had rookie sensation Ryan Mathews to help him do just that. Todd Haley must get the Chiefs offense in gear as they host a Monday Night Football game in their New Arrowhead Stadium.
