Do the Rams go Bradford or Suh? What do you guys think?
I would think that by releasing Bulger, the Rams are thinking QB, and right now it is either Bradford or Colt McCoy. McCoy impressed them when he visited them last week.
From what I have seen (unfortunatley being from Australia dont get as much football as I would like) I think Suh is an absolute animal (watched his bowl game and a couople of others) and could be a disruptive force. They could land a qb like McCoy at the start of the second or LeFevour at the third or fourth. Maybe Suh would result in Chris Long having more of an impact. Steven Jackson enables a new qb to adjust and learn that game at a reasonable pace.
Here is the “Extremely-Die-Hard-Rams-Fan-To-The-Point-Were-I-Wanna-Name-My-Kids-Dick-And-Vermeil” perspective:
I think the rams drafting staff has got to be kicking itself for not taking such great picks such as Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez in previous years. Both QBs have done very well whereas the Rams have been left with “Old Man Bulger” to play at his consistent level of mediocrity (excluding 2006).
I think the 2010 draft is our time to take a QB. People assume the Rams O-line will not protect a QB however I think it is now capable of such a task.
I think Sam Bradford could be as successful as Mark Sanchez in his rookie season. Mark Sanchez was only really asked to throw the ball on play action plays and the Jets dominant running game allowed him to have an easier time throwing the ball. I think Sam “the Ram” Bradford could benefit from similar circumstances as teams are forced to bring their defenders into the box and focus on defending the running attack of Steven Jackson.
Ultimately, take Bradford #1
Just my two pence
Lewis :)
