3. Detroit Lions

If you do not know by now, I am not a big fan of Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz. However, the Lions have the talent to jump back into the playoff mix.

They have the luxury of playing a fourth place schedule and they still have the best wide receiver in the NFL today in Calvin Johnson. With the addition of Reggie Bush at running back, the Lions should be able to have a balance attack on offense.

Now if draft picks Ziggy Ansah and Darius Slay can come in and help a defense that allowed almost 28 points per game last season, the Lions could compete for the NFC North crown.
