Don't count of Mike Shanahan going to Kansas City yet or, depending on who you believe, ever.
Earlier today, Chris Mortenson reported Shanahan was close to finlizing a deal to become the Chiefs' coach following the termination of Herm Edwards. NFL Network's Adam Schefter has disputed the report, and just emphatically denied it again on NFL Total Access, going as far as completely ruling out the chance of Mike getting the job.
It looks like either one of these men have bad sources. Because of the fact that I am not very fond of ESPN and Mortenson, as well as Schefter having great Denver sources because of the job he held there, I'll go with the report putting Shanahan out of Kansas City.
But, we'll see. Scott Pioli would most likely, in my opinion, try to get Shanahan if available for hire, but as of right now, it looks like it won't happen.
