The Arizona Republic reports that Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin has a strained left hamstring.

Boldin injured the hamstring as a result of his two-week layoff because of a shoulder injury; the hammy got injured on the seventy-one yard touchdown catch-and-run in Saturday's game.

Hamstring injuries are notoriously unpredictable, so we won't know Boldin's status until much later in the week, and if he'll be able to go against the Carolina Panthers. Knowing Boldin's toughness and competitiveness, I think he'll play, but as to how much, speculation is pointless at this  point.

With the possibility of a shootout against Carolina, quarterback Kurt Warner will need many potential targets. Boldin being out of the game wouldn't necessarily lessen the Cardinals' offense by a dramatic amount, but it would be a fairly big deal.
