According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed his post-concussion test and returned to the practice field today. Big Ben suffered the head injury following a hard hit taken in Pittsburgh's last game against the Browns. He's now a sure-bet to play on Sunday against the Chargers.

One still has to wonder just exactly how effective he'll be following the rough injury, which required a stretcher and ambulance. San Diego's defense will probably come at him and see how healthy he really is, trying to force him into some bad throws. I would not be shocked if Roethlisberger struggles in the game, and even is forced to come out in favor of Byron Leftwich.

Still, it must be nice for the Steelers to have their quarterback medically cleared and back on the practice field.
