The Minneapolis Star-Tribune has some updates on the Vikings. They're set to play the Saints in New Orleans Monday night.

Receiver Bernard Berrian said he is “optimistic” that he'll play after suffering a knee injury in practice this week. He did practice today, at least in the session the media could see, but little can be drawn from that. I bet he will, as they need him at receiver. If he does, I expect a big day facing the poor secondary of the Saints.

Coach Brad Childress said that Bryant McKinnie and Artis Hicks would both play at left tackling, spliting time. McKinnie will be making his '08 debut after missing the first four games because of a suspension. It won't really matter who starts, but eventually, McKinnie should take over at the position, as he is the second piece to a great left side of the line. Hicks, starting all four games, has struggled.

Childress also said that he'll give us more information on linebacker EJ Henderson next week. It was reported earlier today that he'll be out for at least a month with two fractured toes.
