At  1-3, the Minnesota Vikings are one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL. The already struggling team could have become worse, with the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reporting that linebacker EJ Henderson could be out for at least a month with two dislocated toes in his left foot. He injured the foot against the Titans last week.

He is listed as doubtful for Monday's game in New Orleans, but the paper claims to have sources that claim the team won't know how long he'll be out until the swelling goes down. Unfortunately, surgery could be a possibility if it turns out to be bad. This seems to be a reliable source, although I'm not completely sold that it's a certain fact that he won't play for the next month.

Henderson is one of the team's best defenders, leading the team in tackles last season and making plays. He's a big-time playmaker at middle linebacker and a difference-maker when he's in the game. Losing him will hurt Minnesota's defense, especially in the short passing game, which they have struggled to defend thus far. David Herron, a solid player, will replace Henderson at the position. I like him, but it will still be a drop-off.
