I can’t get no satisfaction. ‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try! I can’t get no – Rolling Stones!
Actually, I can get some Rolling Stones as they are set to perform live during the Super Bowl XL halftime show. The Stones will take a break from their world tour, “A Bigger Bang”, to perform at the game. ABC will broadcast the Super Bowl this year live from Detroit Michigan on Sunday, February 5th.
Don Mischer Productions, an Emmy Award-winning producer, returns as the halftime show producer for a third time and back from last years successful halftime show in Jacksonville for Super Bowl XXXIX.
For a league that continues to try to lure a younger audience, maybe they are not booking the best halftime show performers to entertain that audience. This year, they have the aging Rolling Stones following last years show with the aging Paul McCartney. Now, don’t get me wrong, I think the Stones and McCartney are great but I think the NFL is using the classic entertainers to forget the MTV halftime show from three years ago which involved a costume “malfunction” with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake.
One thing for sure about this years halftime show, you will get some – satisfaction!
