The Good
Cato June INT return for TD
Cato June returns INT for touchdown in Colts 28-3 win!
DE – FENSE! Defense, defense, defense!
Tip your hats off to the Colts and Cowboys defense. Both were outstanding in Week 5. The Colts held the 49ers to 177 total yards of offense, recorded 5 sacks and 5 turnovers, one returned for a TD by Cato June and allowed just 3 points.

Ware with a big Sack
Rookie Ware sacks McNabb as Cowboys rout Eagles 33-10!
The Cowboys defense facing the number one offense in the league, the Philadelphia Eagles, held the Eagles offense to 3 points, allowed a mere 129 yards of total offense and recorded 4 sacks.

The league has adjusted the rules to make the game a more offense-oriented game and to allow more scoring, but these two defenses played stellar football in Week 5 and

The Bad
The Injury Bug
It seems like every week a big name is going out for the season. Adding to the list of Rex Grossman, Javon Walker, Rodney Harrison and others, this week saw season ending injuries to Saints running back Deuce McAllister, Packer running back Najeh Davenport, Jets backup running back Derrick Blaylock and Falcons linebacker Edgerton Hartwell.

There were several other players that will miss some playing time due to injury. Detroit receiver Roy Williams hurt his leg, Steelers QB Ben Rothlisberger hurt his knee on Monday night and Texans receiver Andre Johnson strained his right calf and all these players among others missed and might miss playing time.

Even coaches were immune, as head coach Mike Martz has told the St. Louis Rams that he will not be able to continue his coaching duties and he will take an indefinite leave of absence to recover from a bacterial infection he has near his heart.

The Ugly
Oh those Baltimore Ravens. Didn’t this team just win a Super Bowl 5 years ago? In just five years, with primarily the same coaching staff, the Raves has become a atrocious team. It seems like every year since their Super Bowl win, everyone says the Ravens defense will be great but they are not.

So far this year they have given up 87 points in 4 games. Take out their one win to the New York Jets (who incidentally did not have a QB that game and only scored 3 points) and they are allowing 28 points per game.

Coach Billick looks sad.
Ravens head coach Billick shows his frustration in 35-17 loss.
This week against Detroit they were horrible and completely self-destruct. The Ravens committed 21 penalties for 147 yards, turn the ball over 4 times, committed 4 personal fouls and had two players ejected from the game. DE Terrell Suggs and Safety BJ Ward were both ejected in the 3rd quarter of the Ravens 35-17 loss to the Lions.

One thing is certain – the Ravens need to make a change somewhere!
