Although I agree this was a surprising move, I would not be as harsh as others towards McDaniels. He has shown both guts and an ability to coach, and as an OkState alum Bryant would be an incredible investment. He had a problem last year, but I would argue he showed remorse, paid his dues, and in actual terms of how bad his crime was, it probably wouldn’t get a mention in the NFL with the number of felonies that occur. He is a good guy from a bad chilhood who made a silly mistake, but to those who doubt him because of it, it will be at your peril.

The 49ers look to be the team to beat since they got Ginn to compliment Crab’Money’Tree. Perhaps Ginn will flourish as a number two guy. Unless, Matty can get it together they will be in contention. The Broncos are going to be baaaad, and we will see how good Kyle Orton is at QB with not a top 3 WR hauling in catches.

Seriously, what on Earth are you doing??? I am truely shocked that Marshall has only cost Miami two 2n d round draft picks! It is a vile understatement of the guy’s talent. Personally, I would rate him within the top 5 on the list of receivers in the league, and I really cant see what Denver gained from this.
Who will they replace him with? Jabar Gaffney is good, but not really good enough to fill the zie of a hole left by Marshall, and there is no-one in the draft good enough. Saying that, if they get Dez Bryant, it would be worse for them. He is similar to Marshall in playing style, his abilities are similar, and, perhaps most importantly to the franchise, and also McDaniels, his personality is similar. Elsewhere on the Denver offense, it is time for Eddie Royal to step uyp to the plate, and Kyle Orton is going to have to throw quite a few less pics than last year. Brady Quinn can’t lead that team, and with a defence such as the Broncos’ they still need to fil many holes on the O. Shame!
WHo they gonna take in the draft? They have NO centres! Not one! So do they take Maurice Pouncey, as suggested on WalterFootball’s Mock Draft, or do they try and trade for one? Otherwise, they could take Rolando McLain, which makes sense after cutting Davis.

Brandon seems like the type of guy who would make a fuss about keeping his number when he signs for a new team. Number 15 is currently his new partner Davone Bess’ number. Might not be an issue but to quote Mike Singletary “just keep watching”

Dez Bryant surley becomes a lock now for Denver, he isn’t a diva (yet), just stoopid and made some r’tarded mistakes. Plus, he is a beast of a player. Not sure he will have the same production as Marshall, but a much better fit for Denver than Marshall had become.

Great trade for the Dolphins as we were probably going to take a ‘project’ wide reciever in the 2nd round anyway. Marshall is exactly what we need to improve our offence he is explosive esspecially after the catch.
I was a bit shocked when i saw the headline cos i thought we’d given up the 12th pick but 2 2nd rounds is good value for a player of his talent, just needs to do some growing up now.

I think one major factor that is getting ignored here and almost everywhere else is the role Darrent Williams’ shooting has played in this saga. Marshall testified in the recent trail that he was the one who started the fight that led to the shooting and he also said he believes that the bullets were intended for him. Since the shooting in 2006, Marshall has wanted a fresh start out of Denver and I would too if that had happened to me. So feel free to harp on the Broncos as much as you want for their handling of the situation ( and I for one feel this article was way, way to harsh), it needs to be remembered the effect that shooting had on the Broncos, the players who were on the team at the time, the fans and the city of Denver. Is a fresh start so bad for every one?

With Kyle Orton having no new one WR to aim for if the Bronco’s miss out on the top receiver in the draft in Dez Bryant will McDaniels move for Terrell Owens? I know he is a diva but McDaniels did work with Randy Moss in New England and although not the exact same characters there is some similarities.

I am a Jets fan based in the UK and have spent every NFL sunday on the sofa watching the games with a Bills fan. I obviously enjoyed telling him how bad his team is and now with Miami getting Marshall and the Jets doing there business next season is looking like a bad year for him… Sundays are going to be fun!

Dolphins win this one. They needed a wide receiver, and Marshall will be better quicker then any receiver they could’ve gotten in the 2nd round. However, unlike the Ravens and Boldin, Marshall is also a threat downfield (Boldin is much more effective in the flat) and don’t need to draft a downfield threat. With Davone Bess next to Marshall and Hartline or Camarillo in the slot, the Dolphins biggest (and probably only) question on offense has been answered. It’s time for them to get a rush linebacker or two and nose tackle, and they’re practically playoff locks in my opinion.
