Wes Welker Suspended

The NFL has suspended wide receiver Wes Welker of the Denver Broncos for four games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. So instead of wondering if Welker would be cleared to play because of his concussion symptoms, the Broncos no know they will be without Welker for four weeks.

Steven’s Take:
You can deny it all you want Mr. Welker, but if they caught you, they caught you. Sometimes I truly believe these guys think they will not get caught. In the end, this is probably a good thing for Welker. Last season he may have come back to the field too soon after suffering a concussion. Now he can commit to getting ready before he returns to play in Week 5.

Unfortunately for the Broncos, this is going to affect Peyton Manning and Demaryius Thomas at first, since Welker will not provide a short to intermediate threat to opposing defenses.
