Sam Bradford Out

A day after going down awkwardly in a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, there have been multiple reports that Rams quarterback Sam Bradford will miss the entire NFL season with a torn ACL in his left knee. The tear is to the same ACL that Bradford suffered last season.

Steven’s Take:
This is extremely bad news for Sam Bradford and the St. Louis Rams. This poor guy cannot catch a break. Last year, Bradford only played in seven games and now he set to miss an entire season. Bradford was the last quarterback to sign a huge rookie contract under the previous CBA without rookie pay scale. Not sure he has earned that money yet and with the Rams seemingly having to make a move at QB again, he may not have a chance to make top dollar with another contract.

The Rams are now forced to give the reigns to quarterback Shaun Hill for the season. Hill is a decent option but with only 6th round rookie Garrett Gilbert on the roster, the Rams may go out and try to acquire a veteran signal-caller.
