Well it’s about time! Jimmy Graham may feel that the NFL has taken away his signature trademark touchdown celebration, however the funny thing is that it was never about him. Other players started the goalpost dunk long before Graham was ever in the league.
Although I agree with Graham that the league has virtually eliminated all the fun out of scoring touchdowns, I do not agree that he should have continued the goalpost dunk and get penalized 15 yards, especially after the New Orleans Saints were penalized 22 times in a 31-24 preseason victory over the Tennessee Titans. Fortunately for Graham, it was only a preseason game. Sure, Graham will miss the celebration, but as long as he continues to score TDs, the Saints superstar tight end can find other ways to celebrate.
