Good to see some positive and comparatively objective thinking.

I do think that things could trend up for us this year, even if I'm not expecting playoffs or even a winning season with any degree of certainty.

I do think our defence, especially in the backfield is great, one of the better ones in the league and usually overlooked when people talk about the Bills. I hope that it stays that way this year and gives our O some incentive to put some actual points on the board because last year they were atrocious and their inability to convert or even look like they were going to move forward was key in our late losses by an exhausted defence.

I share peoples suspicion of our ageing head office though. I just find it hard to be thinking 'Future of the team!' with that lot making the calls.

Got you.

To be honest we don't really dwell on that stuff, wide right is more a national joke at this point we just kind of roll our eyes whenever it's brought up during a game.

Your using my comments out of context, I'm referring to Wide Right, the Music City Miracle and all those Super Bowl defeats when I say that Buffalo has had a lot of adversity. Detroit have rarely, if ever been good enough to experience that while Kansas City have been mostly a good team for the past two decades. Cleveland, in never reaching a Super Bowl, in experiencing Red Right 88, those defeats to Denver in the 80's, the team moving to Baltimore, have had worse but not by much.

"Its a shame as Buffalo fans are terrific and have dealt with more adversity than most teams put together. Only Cleveland in all sports have worse luck than Buffalo, and that’s debatable."

Stop it, talking about our adversity when there's teams like Detroit, Cleveland and even KC. The Bills aren't as bad off as the national media likes to make it sound. The Defense should be better than last year and with a better coaching staff the Offense has a chance to break out of it's funk.

I think it's funny how everyone bashes the Bills for not having a QB but put the JETS in the Super bowl, they have no idea if Sanchez will be any good, he wasn't that good last year.

Anyway everyone can keep hating on the Bills but I have faith we will be better than people think.

well looking at the shedule you provided i predict they have a chance to win 6 maybe possibly 7 games but no more than that. The Bills have a huge question mark on their quarterback position, and even though T.O wasn't really a factor he was still as threat on the offensive side of the ball. Now that hes gone more attention will be placed on the speedy Lee Evans, and behind him is little depth at the wide reciever position. Then the Offensive Line is one of the worst in the league. Their one strong point on the offensive side of the ball is the depth at RB. So here is the situation on offense, you have a below average quarterback throwing to mediocre receivers (besides lee evans) with a terrible offensive line. not a great situation, and the running back position wont be a strong point if the offensive line doesnt make their block. The Defensive side of the ball is actually their strong point i think that Aaron Schobel will provide pressure on the QB since last season he recorded double digit sacks, the secondary is actually pretty good in buffalo. I believe that Leodis McKelvin has potential to be one of the top cornerbacks in the game. My prediction is 6-10 for the 2010 season.

Your ability to be optimistic is admirable - especially as your front office was converted this off season into an old folks home (Wilson's an octogenarian, Nix a septugenerian and Gailey is pushing 60) though saying that Levy was always an old guy and he was a fantastic coach. But it worries me that the organisation has so few younger people coming through.

The thing that worries me is your o-line. Cornell Green is an absolute liability, he commits loads of false starts and on the field has less discipline than Lindsay Lohan at a bachelor party. The o-line was terrible last year, and adding 5th and 7th rounders isn't much help. Not getting a new QB is a good move, because if you put a rookie behind that line he'll get killed. Edwards and Fitzpatrick are expendable, while a new QB behind an improved o-line can play next year

You have great RB's, but they're not much use if the defense puts nine men in the box knowing the passing game is ineffectual. No proven QB, and only one proven receiver (Lee Evans) doesn't add up to much, which means play action won't work and good defenses won't have many problems. The defense isn't bad and the special teams are good, but honestly I don't see the Bills doing much. Its a shame as Buffalo fans are terrific and have dealt with more adversity than most teams put together. Only Cleveland in all sports have worse luck than Buffalo, and that's debatable. I give the Bills 4-6 wins this year, and a top 10 spot in next year's draft. Sorry Greg.
