In the NFC West, I see the Cardinals going 11 – 5, and the 49ers going 10 – 6. The Seahawks and Rams are non-factors.

Admittedly, this is a make or break year for Matty. However, I think the acquisition of Derek Anderson is huge. It was amazing for me to listen to Jeff regard the Niners quarterback situation as being adequate for this season, but didn’t give the same assessment of the Cardinals.

The Niners, oddly, have a more difficult schedule, I believe. They must travel to the Saints, whereas the Cardinals get them at home. And the Niners have to face the Packers in Wisconsin, and the Packers may be stronger than the Vikings this year. Granted the Cardinals play the Cowboys, but not until week 16. By that time, the game may matter little to the Cowboys, maybe.

The critical week may be the final week, when the Cardinals and the Niners play each other in San Francisco.

I dunno Steven, and other Cowboy fans, sounds like you just wanted a chance to try and ruin the Giants home opener in the new stadium to avenge your loss to the G-men in the opening of Jerry Jones’ palace last year. I think the best move would have been to have the Jets play the Giants. Even though those two teams aren’t scheduled to meet this year, the league could have figured out a way to make it happen.

Curious, to hear if you spend anytime on the next show discussing how a couple of teams schedules were leaked earlier in the day prior to the official announcement.

Rams open with 5 winnable games. I love it. Makin a trip over there this year, can’t decide what game to make it… Saints Cowboys on Thanksgiving will be a blast.

I LOVE THE PRIMETIME GAMES THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!! The games are going to must see every week. Gong to be the best season in this decade! So much competition This season.
In fact, I will go and say that the world series will not be watched as much as football. I love baseball, but like steven and jeff said.

Loving the look of the Chargers season, can’t wait till it all kicks off. Guess we’ll have to see the pre season and the first few rounds to really pick out the must see games for the rest of the season. Obviously the season opener is the season opener, but I wonder if it’ll fizz a little if Farve passes on career extension number…

I agree, it would of been nice to see the Cowboys trying to get revenge for the Gaints stealing ruining the opening party.
Have to say the Thanksgiving games looks like a good set of games (me being a Patriot I am chuffed! :D) and the opening game which looks a belter and as you said a rematch between the Vikes and the Saints. I am calling it now that Brett Farve wins it in the dying seconds!
Would be interested in your thoughts on who you favour schedule wise. Both you and Jeff are on the Texans bandwagon, but their schedule looks brutal imo. Or will you be saving this for a future show?
