Week 5 Inactives

NFL.com has all of he inactives for today’s games. Here are some highlights and notes about ten minutes before the start of Week 5:

  • Shaun Springs will be out for the Redskins, which should let the Eagles’ high-powered offense have a great day
  • Sage Rosenfels will start in place of Matt Schaub for the Texans because the starter has a virus and was too weak to properly warm up today. Because Schaub is the only other quarterback on the roster, he could still see some snaps today, but this is a big blow to an already struggling Houston team
  • Aaron Rodgers will start against Atlanta, as most expected him to
  • Carson Palmer will also, possibly not making today’s game against the Cowboys the biggest blowout of the season
  • Willis McGahee will start for Baltimore. I disagree with this decesion, as he’s been banged up and will be facing a very physical Tennessee defense
  • Brian Westbrook will play as well, yet another reason why the Eagles should win today
  • Justin Gage will not play for the Titans. I do think that Kerry Collins will need to make some bigger plays today against Baltimore, and having Gage out will make that harder

  1. I found it interesting that while Sage started for the Texans, Schaub was on the sidelines in full uniform. I figure if he was well enough to get dressed, he was good enough to start. Apparently not.
